Minimum wage data downloads
The rates on this site as plain CSV files, rebuilt with the site on October 28, 2026. They hold the same figures as the state and city pages, each of which cites the official sources it was checked against.
Files
| Minimum wage by state | The 50 states and DC: the main rate in effect, the next change and its status, the tipped cash wage, whether cities may set their own rate, inflation indexing, overtime hours and the exempt salary level. CSV, 51 rows. |
|---|---|
| Local minimum wages | Every city, county and state wage region with its own rate, including sector-only wages such as SeaTac’s hospitality and transportation rate. CSV, 69 rows. |
| Every dated rate | Each rate we list, for every tier (region, employer size, tipped and other categories), with its effective date and status, for federal, state and local laws. CSV, 747 rows. |
What the columns mean
Rates are dollars an hour. Dates are in ISO form (YYYY-MM-DD). In the state and local files, rate is the main rate in effect on the build date, the first category on each page (for example the statewide rate, the large-employer rate or the Portland metro rate), and main_rate_label names it. Other categories are in the history file.
next_status is announced when the agency has published the new rate, and scheduled when a statute, ballot measure or ordinance fixes it in advance. An empty next rate means no change is announced or set in law yet; it does not mean the rate will stay the same. tipped_cash_wage is the lowest cash wage an employer that takes a tip credit may pay; where no tip credit is allowed it equals the full minimum wage. reviewed is the date the place’s figures were last checked against its sources. In the state file, overtime_weekly_hours and overtime_daily_hours are the hours after which state law requires overtime (empty where the state has no such rule and only federal law applies), and exempt_salary_annual is the state’s salary level for overtime-exempt staff where it is above the federal level.
In the history file, status is historical for past rates, in-effect for the rate that applies on the build date, and announced or scheduled for future rates. tier identifies a rate category within a place, such as an employer size, region, or tipped rate.
Using the data
Quoting rates with a credit to MinimumWageRates and a link is welcome. Please cite the page for the particular place you quote, for example: “Minimum wage in Washington, MinimumWageRates, checked October 28, 2026.” Republishing the files or a substantial part of them is covered by the terms of use; ask us first. Rates change at least once a year and the files are rebuilt whenever a rate takes effect or an agency announces a new one, so download them again rather than relying on an old copy.
If you find a rate that differs from the official source, please report it.
